EHC Klostersee had nothing to say in the Wildbräu Arena on Wednesday evening against SC Riessersee.

Badly weakened by replacements, the Grafinger Eishackler sold themselves according to the possibilities in the 1:4 in the Oberliga game against the guest from Garmisch.

Grafing – Based on the permanent staff of the first three blocks, the Red and Whites were missing almost half the squad – long-term injured, suspended and ill.

Without seven players, coach Dominik Quinlan had to arrange his line-up after Canadian Jordan Stallard also signed out on matchday afternoon.

The failures were replaced by the U20 forces Tobias Hilger and Stefan Würmseer, among others.

The guests from Garmisch still brought a more than competitive squad onto the ice despite a few layoffs.

The short-term absence of 39-year-old league top scorer Lubor Dibelka, who pinched his thigh during the warm-up, is of course not easy for the fourth-placed player to digest.

Riessersee started optically superior, but defensively also very reckless.

The SCR cover allowed two top chances in the early stages, but Quirin Bacher, who was called up as a striker, and captain Philipp Quinlan were unable to take advantage of them alone in front of goalkeeper Michael Böhm (3rd/4th).

It took almost eight minutes before guest Dominik Gräubig was able to challenge properly for the first time.

From then on, the EHC goalkeeper could no longer complain about a lack of work until the first break.

SC Riessersee got stuck several times longer in Klostersee's defense zone and worked out the lead (10') when Gräubig was out of sight.

The Grafingers survived being outnumbered and went into the second period with a power play.

It started very varied before the Garmisch team quickly took control of the game again.

Once again the EHC had power play and was very close to equalizing with two long-range shots by Yannick Kischer and a direct acceptance by Florian Gaschke (30th).

Just complete again, the SCR combined to make it 0:2 and added seconds before the next third break in the majority (32nd/40th).

They successfully got the rebound twice.

Riessersee also made it 0:4 (43rd) from a rebound before the Klosterseers secured the more than deserved consolation goal from Felix Kaller after a one-two with Vili Vesalainen (50th).
