Too bad on the way to England

According to media reports, Kevin Schade will soon leave SC Freiburg and initially join English club FC Brentford on loan.

The 21-year-old winger of the Bundesliga soccer club is said to have already passed the medical check, the TV broadcaster Sky and the portal "The Athletic" reported on Wednesday.

The completion should now be announced promptly.

Following the loan, Brentford are said to have a purchase obligation of more than €20m if Schade reaches a certain number of appearances.

Brentford and other Premier League clubs were already interested in Schade in the summer.

Those responsible in Freiburg were initially able to persuade the U21 international to stay.

He missed seven competitive games this season due to an abdominal muscle injury.

He then came mainly from the bank.

In all, he scored once in 12 games.

In Brentford, Schade would meet German midfielder Vitaly Janelt.

The »Bees« are in ninth place in the league.

Coach Wagner before engagement at Norwich

According to Sport1 information, David Wagner is to become the new coach of the English second division soccer team Norwich City.

Accordingly, the 51-year-old should sign his contract with the “Canaries” this Wednesday.

Wagner would succeed Dean Smith, who had been fired in late December.

Most recently, the former Schalke coach Wagner coached the Swiss first division club Young Boys Bern before he was put on leave at the beginning of March 2022 and has been without a club since then.

For Wagner it would be the second station in England.

He coached Huddersfield Town from November 2015 to January 2019 and helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League in 2017.

Before Wagner there was already a German coach from Norwich: The current Mönchengladbach head coach Daniel Farke even managed to get promoted twice with the club.

Reese joins Hertha in the summer

Fabian Reese will leave second division club Holstein Kiel in the summer and switch to Bundesliga club Hertha BSC.

He will receive a three-year contract with the Berliners until June 30, 2026. This was announced by KSV Holstein on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old left winger, whose contract ends in the summer, is leaving on a free transfer.

Initially, the Berliners had considered a change during the winter break.

Reese's market value has increased significantly this season and is currently valued at €1.7 million.

Born in Kiel, who joined Schleswig-Holstein from Schalke 04 in January 2020, he has scored five goals and provided four assists in 16 games this season.

Kruse sees the future in the USA

Soccer player Max Kruse, who is currently without a club, has confirmed his desire to emigrate to the United States.

"I don't know if it's forever, but I love America as a country, I love the mentality," said the 34-year-old former international in a video interview with the Leeroy Matata YouTube account.

»My English is actually quite good, very good.

I can communicate, it has gotten better over the years,” Kruse added.

The attacking player has long been linked with a move to Major League Soccer (MLS) in North America as his 11-year-old son lives in Florida.

»If you're in America every year, sometimes for six weeks.

At some point you just learn it,” said Kruse.

His wife, Dilara Kruse, said in the video that she loves her current place of residence in Berlin and does not want to emigrate to the United States.

It is therefore conceivable for Kruse to live in both places.

The attacker had mutually terminated the contract with his former club, Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg, in November.
