It's all about the details.

Raphael Holzhauser's move to TSV 1860 Munich is on the home stretch.

And there is even money left over.

The first training sessions in Belek took place without Raphael Holzhauser (29) - although the name of the lion-to-be was on everyone's lips.

The good news: now everything can happen very quickly with the midfield veteran of the Belgian first division club OH Leuven.

The shareholders of the (Giesinger) Löwen agree that the additional revenue generated this season will be put into the winter transfer that Michael Köllner is longing for.

The ball is now in the hands of the clubs, who still had to negotiate the final details.

(+++) The basic facts are on the table: Holzhauser should be loaned out until the end of this season.

For the season(s) thereafter, 1860 would like a purchase option.

Leuven is accommodating the lions by continuing to pay most of the player's salary from the club, which is funded by a Thai holding company.

Raphael Holzhauser on TSV 1860 Munich: Deal is a masterpiece by Günther Gorenzel

In this way, TSV does not even have to exhaust the full 300,000 euros that would be available.

The deal is the previous masterpiece of sports director Günther Gorenzel, who tried to get his compatriot early on.

The first contact was at the Wörthersee Cup in mid-November.

Hard work that could pay off in the next few days (or hours).

But who is the beefy guy anyway?

A real personality on the offensive.

"Raphael has what it takes to lead a team," says his ex-coach Thorsten Fink in an interview with tz.

Fink brought the former Augsburger (and Stuttgarter) to Austria Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga in winter 2015.

He really thrived there, scoring 62 goals in 164 games.

Fink couldn't help but take him to Zurich, Switzerland.

Then the move to Belgium.

"He's confidence personified."

Former coach Thorsten Fink about Raphael Holzhauser.

"I've rarely seen a player like Raphael," enthuses Fink: "He's tall, technically good, ice-cold with set pieces.

And he also has a good left foot.” The well-travelled professional should now use it for sixty.

With his market value of 1.4 million euros, Holzhauser would be the most valuable player in the 3rd division.

A team that wants to get promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga could use a guy like that.

"He is self-confidence personified," says Fink: "Sometimes you have to be careful that he doesn't take off.

But that's not a bad thing." His prognosis: "An engagement with the lions could be a good fit.

If Holzhauser comes, then – as far as I know – he also wants to get promoted.” In Giesing nobody would have anything against it.
