The organizers of the Tour de France announced today (Wednesday) that they will invite the team to compete in the upcoming tour that will start in Bilbao, Spain on July 1 and will end three weeks later on the Elysees in Paris.
This will be the fourth consecutive appearance of Israel Premier Tech in the biggest race of all.
The team's participation this year was not guaranteed due to its relegation to the second tier, but the organizers of the tour decided to give it one of the two special summons following its unforgettable performance in the last tour in which it achieved two victories (the Australian Simon Clarke and the Canadian Hugo Hall) and scooped three more podiums including the third place of Chris Froome in the spectacular section on the summit of Alpe Douz.
The invitation to the most important race of all was accepted by the team as a step of enormous importance in its journey to return to the top of the world, and it actually guarantees that it will take part in almost all the most important races in the world during 2023 - furnaces passed.

Many riders in the team will fight for a place in the line-up for the prestigious Tour, but it already appears that the Israeli rider Omer Goldstein is one of the prominent candidates and is expected to compete in the Tour for the second time in his career: "The team's invitation to the Tour is wonderful news for all of us," said Goldstein, who missed the Tour last season due to suspicion of being infected with the Corona .
(His place was taken by Guy Niv who finished the series successfully but retired at the end of the season).

In 2020, the team competed for the first time in the Tour de France and Guy Niv became the first Israeli rider to jump and finish the Tour.
In 2021, Omer Goldstein appeared as an Israeli in the team's lineup in the Tour and as mentioned, Guy Niv finished the Tour for the second time in his career last season.
