Lionel Messi has been greeted with a round of applause upon his return to Paris Saint-Germain.
The French capital club published a video on social media showing the Argentine soccer world champion entering the training ground and being applauded by the PSG staff and his teammates standing in a trellis.
"An honor guard for our world champion," commented the club.
The 35-year-old also received another small trophy.
After the triumph at the World Cup in Qatar and the success of the Argentines in a penalty shoot-out against France for PSG team-mate Kylian Mbappé and the lavish reception in Buenos Aires, Messi traveled on to his family in Rosario.
Messi is the last to return
From there he left on Monday with a private jet.
On Tuesday he reached Le Bourget Airport near Paris.
PSG coach Christophe Galtier had given him special leave.
Messi is the latest World Cup participant to return to training at his club.
He missed the Ligue 1 leaders' first two games after the World Cup break but would have another opportunity soon.
On Friday there is a cup game at third division club LB Chateauroux.
