Vatanspor Freising is looking forward to the derbies in the preliminary round of the FT Indoor Masters.

However, the district classist does not count himself among the tournament favourites.

Freising – At the weekend the ball is finally rolling again at the SE Freising indoor masters in the sports hall of the Luitpoldanlage, which the club is organizing together with the local newspaper.

The footballers from Vatanspor Freising, who had their home and club home in the “Luipe” for years, do not want to miss the renowned tournament.

"This tournament is simply a meeting point for all footballers," says department head Muhammet Esen, explaining the Vatanspor kickers' commitment.

"You know the other clubs - and it's always nice to see each other again around the games." The anticipation of the competition is also great among the players.

"Many have friends and comrades in the opposing teams," the division head continued.

That's why the Vatanspor men don't want to miss the class reunion of the district kickers.

A preliminary round with a derby character awaits the Turkish club, as they are up against almost all other Domstadt teams: the host SE Freising, BC Attaching and SV Vötting.

Another group opponent is TSV Allershausen.

With the FT as a media partner, the SE Freising organizes the Freisinger Tagblatt Hall Masters.

Anyway, at Vatanspor the focus is on having fun and not on sporting ambition.

Because once again there was a sporting upheaval in the district classists.

"We have a new, young team," says Esen, "they have to find each other first".

That's why the head of department has no exaggerated expectations of his team and immediately reassures: "We won't be able to reach the level of the past few years."

Nevertheless: The Vatanspor players like to kick in the hall.

Unlike the competition, the Turks have not only confirmed for a tournament, but want to warm up in the hall.

"We've accepted again for the tournaments we've been to in recent years," explains Muhammet Esen.

However, the guests do not want to pick a favorite for the FT Indoor Masters.

On the one hand, this is because you first have to see which players are on the individual teams.

"On the other hand, the older players in particular don't take indoor football that seriously because of knee problems."
