The long-range shooter from Erding wants to defend his BM title in Freilassing
Erding/Oberhummel – The favorites are Antonia Meindl from Schwinkirchen, Felix Karpfinger (U 19) from Erding and his teammate from SC Oberhummel, Maxi Kloiber (U 23), this Thursday and Friday at the Bavarian Long Distance Shooting Championships in Freilassing.
And they will have to make an effort, because they need a good placement in order to be in the same place at the German race at the weekend, to collect points there for the Max Aicher Cup ranking and, last but not least, to be recommended for international tasks.
Defending champion Karpfinger is in third place in the U19 rankings so far, has already won one of five events and definitely wants to qualify for the German championship on Saturday afternoon with a top placing on Friday (1 p.m.).
Because the results at the Germans count twice in the ranking.
He's confident: "The chances are actually quite good that I'll play at the front." His goal: a place in the top three.
However, the body also has to play along, because lately the shoulder or the leg have been pinching again and again.
Karpfinger also competes in the U23 competition, where a strong field of twelve participants awaits him.
"My goal here is qualifying for the German Championships," says Erdinger.
Kloiber leads the season standings for the U23s.
On Friday (3 p.m.) it will be seen whether he can keep the established players at bay.
The U 23-DM also takes place in Freilassing on Sunday morning.
Kloiber starts for the men for the first time.
