The Roosters came to the away match against Patrick Vieira's team in a bad time when they recorded a 2:2 against Brentford, in which they fell behind twice, and a 2:0 loss to Aston Villa at home in the passing round.
Without Risharlison and the injured Rodrigo Bentancourt, the yellowed Yves Bissomma and Dejan Kolosewski who has not yet recovered from the injury and was removed from Antonio Conte's squad, the guests waited 48 minutes until the first goal.
Ivan Perisic lifted his left foot into the Palace square, where Harry Kane was waiting to hit Spurs' first from close range.
Five minutes later, the English striker doubled the score after an exchange of passes with Brian Hail and completed with a sharp kick to the far corner.
In the 68th minute, Jung Min Son found Matt Doherty on the edge of the box, and the Irish defender kicked Tottenham's third with his left foot, before the South Korean finished perfectly himself in the 72nd minute.
