A former Barcelona player, and now a Mexican Pumas player, Dani Alves, was accused by a young woman of sexually assaulting her in a nightclub in Barcelona last December 30.
In her testimony, she said that Alves danced with some of his friends, next to her, and at one point forcibly pulled her into the bathroom, where he allegedly hit her.
According to the testimony of others, the two stayed in the bathroom for only a few seconds, before going back to the dance floor: "After Danny Alves and his friends left, she started crying and claimed she was raped."
Now that the allegations have become official, due to a complaint being filed, the 39-year-old Brazil international has been interviewed by the media and denied the allegations.
"I like to dance, but without invading other people's privacy," he said at first.
"I'm very sorry, but I don't even know the lady, I don't know who she is, but this woman is hurting my family," he explained.
