The Erding Gladiators scored an unchallenged 7:3 (4:1, 1:0, 2:2) victory against ERV Schweinfurt on Friday evening.

The Mighty Dogs never had a real chance at any stage of the game.

Erding

- On paper, the Gladiators were better positioned than ever this season.

And you could tell: Schweinfurt were already penalized in the first minute, and Erdinger's overtime game that followed deserved the term power play.

Daniel Krzizok finally made it 1-0 (2nd).

In the 8th minute it was 2:0, after a great Krzizok pass defender Paul Wallek scored his first goal of the season.

In the 14th minute there was a second majority for Erding - and the second power play goal: This time Michael Franz had completed.

And after almost a quarter of an hour, Erik Modlmayr made it 4-0 after a perfect attack.

Dylan Hood reduced the lead to 1:4 with a penalty (19th minute).

The first break lasted longer because a fire alarm went off and the door to the ice machine could no longer be opened.

It only continued after a good half hour, then there was the next interruption because gladiator Simon Franz was injured after a foul by Sides.

The Schweinfurter received a game penalty, the Erdinger was finally able to continue playing.

The Gladiators continued to have the game under control in the second half, but forgot to score – only Krzizok scored with a man over his opponent (36').

In the final third Tomas Plihal (42nd) and Elias Maier increased to 7:1 (48th), before Kevin Heckenberger (48th) and Kevin Marquardt (51st) shortened to 3:7.
