At the start of the year, a few sporting events will animate the halls and stadiums of the Paris region between this Friday and Sunday.

The winter break is over.

The holidays have passed with their excesses, but the good habits do not change.

Le Parisien offers a selection of issues before each weekend and details the events not to be missed in Île-de-France.

Overview.

The player to watch: the return to play of Nanterrien Miralem Halilovic

BASKETBALL.

He had not reappeared on a basketball court since October 18 and a French Cup match won (66-84 in Orleans).

After almost 3 months of absence, the interior of Nanterre Miralem Halilovic will make his return, this Saturday, on the occasion of the arrival of Cholet at the Maurice-Thorez sports hall.

An opponent who makes a thunderous start to the season and occupies 2nd place in the championship tied on points with the Mets of Victor Wembanyama.

Good news therefore for Pascal Donnadieu whose team remains on 6 losses in 8 days of Betclic Elite and must always deal with the absences of the leader Justin Bibbins and the interior Hans Vanwijn (injured) until March.

Before his injury, the Bosnian international was Nanterre's statistical leader with 14.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists on average per game.

“It's great to be back!

Even though I mostly did individual work, I can't wait for Saturday's game!

I'm excited.

I'm ready !

the interior told the club's website.

The shock of the weekend: the players of the Stade Français defend their 2nd place

VOLLEYBALL.

This is one of the nice surprises of this start to the season.

After 13 days, the players of the Stade Français Paris Saint-Cloud occupy 2nd place in the championship behind leader Nantes.

The Parisiennes even remain on a good series of 7 successes.

They have not lost since November 12 and their trip to Terville-Florange (3-1).

An opponent they welcome this Saturday (8 p.m.) for the shock at the top of the day.

Currently 4th, the Moselle club has just offered the scalp of the Nantes leader on Tuesday.

The Stadistes have been warned.

Largely rebuilt in the offseason, @lesmariannes75

, current 2⃣e, is the nice surprise of this first third of the season in LAF.

The Mariannes are simply reaping the fruit of a balanced collective and flawless work throughout the week.
