Four NBA games took place tonight (between Thursday and Friday).

The focus was on the meeting between Dallas and Boston, which ended in a crushing victory for the latter.

Denver abused the Clippers, Memphis recorded a fifth straight victory, and Laurie Markkanen provided another impressive performance.

Tonight's games:

Orlando (25:14) - Memphis (13:25) 123:115

Dallas (17:22) - Boston (12:27) 124:95

Houston (29:10) - Utah (21:20) 131: 114

The duel between the two MVP candidates Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum ended in a crushing victory, and a statement.

The Celtics came to Texas after a surprising defeat to Oklahoma City, and they faced the hottest team in the league that had won seven games in a row.

But despite the opposite trends, from the first moment there was no doubt who was the better team.

The Celtics ran to a double-digit lead heading into halftime, and didn't take their foot off the gas until the end, deciding the game well before the end.

Tatum recorded a rather rare triple double for him, only the second of his career, with 29 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, while Doncic, who went to the floor with flu symptoms, was held to only 23 points (after averaging 44.5 in the last five games).

Jaylen Brown added 19 for the winner, Marcus Smart and Malcolm Brogdon contributed 15 each.

Denver (1:25 p.m.) - L.A. Clippers (7:21 p.m.) 91:122

in two words: no power.

The Clippers fielded their strongest line-up including Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, but a one-sided first half that ended with Denver leading by 34 quickly killed off the game and made Ty Lue share minutes and strength.

Jamal Murray led an incredibly balanced scoring list for the Nuggets with 18, Vlatko Chanchar contributed 15 and 12 rebounds off the bench and Nikola Jokic settled for 12 points along with 9 assists and 6 rebounds in 24 minutes.

The Clippers, on the other hand, suffered a terrible shooting day with 5 of 37 (13%) from outside the arc, with Kawhi Leonard scoring only 6 points in 18 minutes, and Paul George finishing with only 3 (1 of 9 from the field).

Bottom line, the Nuggets maintain first place in the West.

Factorization.

Orlando (25:14) - Memphis (13:25) 123:115

While Draymond Green continues to have a trash talk with Jay Morant and claims that the Warriors "have no reason to fear any team in the West", Memphis is coming together and looking powerful and threatening.

Tonight they won their fifth in a row that gave them first place in the West for a short time (Denver who is defeating the Clippers at this time will soon return there with an identical record).

Morant finished with 32 points, and Jaren Jackson Jr. also starred alongside him with 31 and 10 rebounds, in a game that was actually decided in the second quarter during which the guest ran 23:43.

The Magic received 30 points and 9 rebounds from Paolo Bancro and 22 from Franz Wagner, but could not produce a real comeback despite an improved last quarter.

On the safe way to the All-Star.

The Jazz returned to winning after five consecutive losses, and who if Lauri Markkanen is responsible for that.

The Finnish forward who seemed to be on the safe way to the All-Star, set a career high of 49 points, added 8 rebounds and was helped by Jordan Clarkson and Malik Beasley who scored 19 each to defeat the Rockets.

Houston, on the other hand, received another excellent game from Jaylen Green, who scored 30, and Kevin Porter (23) and Alfern Shannon (20 and 14 rebounds) also had good numbers, but the team remained on a single win in 12 games, counting six consecutive losses.
