Maccabi Haifa announced this morning (Friday) the return of midfielder Basam Zaroura to the senior team's squad, this against the backdrop of Neta Lavie's expected departure to Japan.
The 20-year-old fullback, who grew up in the youth department of Maccabi Haifa, was on loan at the club's subsidiary team, Hapoel Afula, for the past season and a half.
The club's sporting director, Gal Alberman, said:
"We are happy to announce the return of Bassam Zarora to the senior team's squad. We have followed Bassam's progress over the last season and a half at Hapoel Afula, where he received a stage and the tools to advance and we see him as a figure who will add depth to the team's squad."
Pierre Cornot will be tested
In the meantime, the team is waiting for the results of the test of the defender Pierre Cornot who was injured, and is expected to be absent from the game on Sunday against Ness Ziona.
