A rather successful evening passed last night (Thursday) for the Israeli representatives in the Euroleague.
It started with a very surprising 84:85 victory for Elba Berlin of Tamir Blatt and Yuval Sussman over red-hot Basconia, which was halted after a winning streak.
Sussman played 16 minutes, scored 6 points and focused mainly on the defensive side, when he was assigned to the formidable sniper Marcus Howard.
Blatt, on the other hand, had another very impressive performance, finishing with 11 points and 9 assists in 18 minutes.
Blatt controlled the pace of the game in the minutes he played, fed his teammates repeatedly with fantastic passes and recorded his ninth game of the season in double figures in the points column.
"The key for us was defense," Blatt said at the end.
"As long as we get stops, we are a much better team."
The German media complimented Blatt on the good performance and noted that "Blatt excelled every minute of his time on the floor", and the Basque media did not ignore either.
"Tamir Blatt is the connecting link of Alba Berlin. Every time he stepped on the field, he caused problems for Baskonia in defense," they wrote in "El Korao".

In Belgrade, Yam Medar even managed to surpass Blat.
