Futsal tournament in Zorneding: welcome match practice

The footballers from two district teams will try futsal in Zorneding on Saturday.

“It comes down to fitness, technique and understanding of the game.
You have to let the ball go and not stop.
A certain speed of action is important.
It's going to be difficult for those with gross motor skills," says Rudolf Riedl, describing the requirement profile of a successful futsal player.
The trainer of the Zornedinger reserve team (A class) will take over the management of a mixed TSV selection of first and second teams on Saturday.
Riedl sees his men well prepared for the event in the TSV gym in the Zornedinger sports park (starting at 1 p.m.).
“We have already trained twice under competitive conditions, including referees and according to the official rules.
We don't sleep in Zorneding," said Riedl before the final training session on Thursday evening.
“We will start with a very young squad.
One or the other has already taken part in a futsal tournament as a youth.
So my boys already know a bit,” Riedl is building on the valuable wealth of experience within his own ranks.
In addition to organizer TSV Zorneding and many Munich teams, SG Markt Schwaben has also announced its participation.
Both district teams already meet explosively in the group phase.
The Markt Schwabener guests are entering new territory.
"I don't think anyone has played futsal here before.
However, we had indoor training before Christmas and we were already in the soccer hall in the new year,” reports SG coach Michael Hieber, who takes into account the participation in training from both units when putting together the squad.
“Only those who train play for me.
So one or the other well-known name will be missing.” The people of Markt Schwaben see the futsal tournament in Zorneding as a welcome change during the winter break.

On the other hand, the Zornedingers would like to sell themselves dearly on the domestic floor.
TSV coach Riedl and his players have their sights set on the prize money that will be distributed to the top three of the 16 participants.
“Then we would have something for the team fund.
We're not necessarily assuming that we'll win the tournament, but we want to get as far as possible.” Let's see how well the transition works.
