Refusing to resign from his post as president of the French Rugby Federation, Bernard Laporte was however ordered to step back and give up all his prerogatives by the Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castera.
Hence this sleight of hand: submit to the vote of the clubs (from January 23 to 25) the appointment of a delegate president designated by Laporte and the steering committee, in this case Patrick Buisson.
