In Moosburg, SG Schliersee/Miesbach 1b is defeated by 1:2 against EV Moosburg - but it was close.

Two minutes before the end of the away game at EV Moosburg there was still a 1-1 draw on the scoreboard.

However, the guests were no longer able to equalize the second goal of the hosts, so that the Moosburgers secured the three points with the 2:1 home win and were able to move further ahead of the district cracks in the rankings.

At the beginning of the game, the guests were a little surprised by the brisk start of the home side.

“It took us a while to get used to the previously unknown opponent.

Moosburg took us a bit by surprise, they had very fast wingers,” reported SG trainer Mario Weiler.

The hosts scored the opening goal in the middle of the first half with a shot from the blue line.

As the game progressed, the Renken got into the game better and better.

The game was balanced with both sides creating chances.

There were no goals in the second round.

The district cracks fought bravely and earned Florian Zeller the equalizer.

From then on, the Schlierseer and Miesbacher put pressure on and were closer to the winning goal than the home side.

But once again the Renken failed in evaluating the chances, first on the crossbar, then when going it alone.

This took revenge two minutes before the final siren, when the Moosburgers scored the winning goal.

With a shot from the blue line, SG keeper Markus Veicht was blocked from view, so he had no chance.

"It was a stupid goal because we didn't get the disc over our own blue line," said Weiler.

The remaining 90 seconds were not enough for the guests to equalize the result again, so that the points stayed in Moosburg in the end.

"Our final weakness has been evident throughout the season and that was also the reason for the defeat in Moosburg," summarized Weiler.

"It was an even game against a strong opponent, but it's our own fault that we ended up losing because we just didn't score." He doesn't want to blame the team: "Everyone fought .” There was no lack of performance and attitude.

But: "We now have to continue working on the end and do better in the last ten games in front of the opposing goal," said Weiler.
