The TSV 1860 training camp is almost history.

The social part was also not neglected in Belek.

Even one or two fairy tales are welcome.

Munich/Belek –

Something is remembered from every training camp.

When you think of Belek 2022, you think of the Corona bubble in the Hotel Sueno, of Stefan Lex as a golf caddy (for Stephan Salger) and Tim Linsbichler, who became the hapless but celebrated cult striker.

The much-quoted "spirit of Belek" also found its way into the collective lion memory.

And a year later?

On Tuesday at 11.10 a.m. local time, the 1860 entourage will start its flight home.

And when players eventually visualize Belek 2023, this is almost certainly going to come up: "Truth or Lies".

An introductory game for company seminars.

Michael Köllner introduced it to the lions – and with it, triggered something.

TSV 1860: Verlaat enthusiastic about the introductory game

The game goes like this: After meals, the pros don't go straight to their rooms, but stay in the dining area, which becomes the stage for the show: Individual players step forward and each tell three episodes from their lives.

Two of them should be true, one made up - the rest of the group has to guess which was the lie.

Aim of the game: Find out more about the other player, with the lies being particularly revealing.

Who thinks up something like that?

What longings are behind it?

There is a lot of laughter, that is planned and desired.

"If you get involved, it's cool and sometimes funny," reports Jesper Verlaat, who is open to everything new: "Some people invent things, you think: How did he get it?

It's amazing that this is invented.

With others you think to yourself: Great, they really experienced that!?

Some unpack something good.

There are very interesting stories there.”

TSV 1860: Boyamba boasts about Oktoberfest flirts

For example, who went through five trials before signing their first professional contract?

Who had to get their parents to promise them an electric guitar in order to even take part in a trial session?

Who brags about having had six Oktoberfest flirts?

Who was voted best goalkeeper in a U17 tournament, beating the (later) great Gigi Buffon?

Solution: The one with the trial training was Verlaat (true), the one with the electric guitar was Fabian Greilinger (true), whose lie was that as a boy he had been the first child of assistant trainer Stefan Reisinger.

The Wiesn flirts were from Jo Boyamba, which was a lie the other way than the team believed.

"We assumed twelve," says one with a grin.

TSV 1860: As a sworn team for promotion?

Captain Lex, the game fan, likes "Truth or Lies" because everyone has to have a go.

The story with Gigi Buffon comes from goalkeeping coach Harry Huber (born in 1978, true), who reports on his youth at Bayern Munich (also true).

Yes, the staff also took part in the psycho quiz.

Team doctor Dr.

Monika Mrosek, for example, surprised everyone by financing her medical studies in a very special way: as a juggler – with fire juggling and stilt walks.

Conclusion of the humorous storytelling week: You know each other even better now, and you also know how exhausting it is to think up lies.

Köller teaches the lions to lie?

That headline would only be partly true - he lets them lie, but the moral reasons for doing so are beyond reproach.

(funny)
