After Qatar, heading for Australia and New Zealand for the Women's World Cup (July 20 - August 20).
Regular subscriber to Ligue 1, Stéphanie Frappart, 39, continues to open up new avenues on behalf of tricolor women's refereeing.
The FIFA Referees Committee announced on Monday the referees selected for the 2023 Women's World Cup. In total, the "FIFA Team One" will include 33 referees, 55 assistant referees and 19 video assistant referees, including six women for the first times.
Frappart appears in the group of field referees, while two other Frenchwomen, Elodie Coppola and Manuela Nicolosi have been retained as assistants.

According to FIFA, the "Road to Australia/New Zealand 2023" project initiated in 2020 enabled more than 170 candidates to undergo intensive preparation, which however proved to be more complicated than expected, as many activities face-to-face had to be canceled due to the pandemic.
Referees have, however, been able to officiate at important competitions such as the U-17 Women's World Cup, the U-20 Women's World Cup and the Algarve Cup, as well as the Maurice Revello Tournament - competition between national teams U -20.

In Qatar, six women referees had officiated at the World Cup.
Chosen to referee the group stage match Costa Rica - Germany (2-4), Stéphanie Frappart, assisted by Karen Diaz and Neuza Back, made history on December 1 by becoming the first woman to officiate a match of the World Cup.
The American Kathryn Nesbitt was appointed assistant referee in the round of 16 England - Senegal (3-0).
This month and in February, the selected referees will take part in preparatory seminars organized in Doha and Montevideo, during which they will analyze video extracts of real match situations and take part in filmed training sessions, with a view to improving their the Women's World Cup.
Next summer in Australia and New Zealand, the French team led by Corinne Deacon will evolve in group F with Brazil, Jamaica and a play-off which remains to be determined between Taipei, Panama, Papua New Guinea and Paraguay.
