The judoka who won the tournament in Jerusalem did not report his whereabouts to the ITA organization in accordance with the rules of the tests • The Judo Association: "We are sure that this is a technical matter that will be resolved soon"

The Jew will be forced to provide explanations.

Baruch Shamailov did not report his whereabouts to the International Testing Agency (ITA) in accordance with the rules of testing for the use of prohibited substances.

Shmailov, who competes in the weight category up to 66 kg and won the gold medal at the Masters in Jerusalem last month, was asked by the ITA to periodically submit updates on his whereabouts, in order to allow tests to be carried out in accordance with the rules regarding the use of prohibited substances as is customary for international athletes.

All updates and contact with the athlete are made through an internet system, but according to him, due to communication failures, the attempts to perform the test were unsuccessful.

Following this, Baruch received a letter from the ITA with a request to forward his explanations on this matter.

In the coming days, Mailov is expected to respond to her as requested, when he will fully present the circumstances for which there was a communication failure and will provide full transparency with all the details in front of all the authorized parties, while in the meantime he continues with his sports activities as usual.

The Judo Association stated: "We trust Baruch and are sure that this is only a technical matter that will be resolved soon."
