With a 1:5 defeat at the Memmingen Indians, EHC Klostersee ended an extremely intense two weeks with a total of seven competitive games in the Oberliga Süd.

Grafing – The Grafinger brought only a strong third on the ice in the Allgäu before the hosts took the initiative.

Three in, two out: Marinus Kritzenberger, Jordan Stallard and Simon Roeder are back in the Red and White squad, but the long-term injured were missing Felix Kaller and Julian Dengl (professional reasons).

Coach Dominik Quinlan had to tweak the line-up a bit, but that didn't change anything about the broad chest of the EHClers after the home coup over Deggendorf.

Confident and courageous, Klostersee tackled the task in the Allgäu and with clearly better scoring opportunities in the first third.

Marco Eisenhut in the case of the reigning Oberliga runners-up was kept busy by the Grafingers and made some saves worth seeing.

A huge plus for the EHC in the starting section was the high face-off quota.

Most of the games went to the guest.

After almost eight minutes, Vili Vesalainen played the puck diagonally from the left wing almost through the goal area to the right after a back pass to Yannick Kischer.

There Marc Bosecker took the pass straight away to make it 1-0.

A well-deserved lead that was not brought into the break.

The two best chances of the rather pale Indians, both quick breaks, were defused by Philipp Hähl (11th/18th).

The EHC keeper then had to let a really crooked thing from the blue line pass to make it 1-1 (19th).

"We performed exactly as we had imagined," said Grafing's captain Philipp Quinlan before going into the dressing room.

His formation could not follow this with the restart.

Three penalties and a long period of suspension cost Körner and required more defensive work.

Host Memmingen used the advantage and was able to defeat Hähl twice (29th/36th).

The EHC could have stayed close with chances from Lynnden Pastachak and Stallard and a flick from Florian Gaschke, but conceded the decisive 1:4 (45th) in the early stages of the last round.

Ex-DEL attacker Jaroslav Hafenrichter finally put the finishing touch after EHC-Canadian Stallard failed just seconds before (58th).
