Hapoel Jerusalem announced the Arava (Tuesday) that Ahmed Salman has signed with Maccabi Netanya for four and a half seasons, after the Diamonds exercised the exit option in his contract and signed the player.
19-year-old Ahmed has come a long way in the club's youth department, which brought him to Israel's youth teams.
This is the largest transfer deal in the history of Hapoel Jerusalem, which also includes a share of a future sale, when the Diamonds will pay a million shekels for his release clause.
The striker is part of the youth team that finished as European runner-up in the summer, but played little this season.
Hapoel Yerushalayim reported: "We wish Ahmed the best of luck."
