Ski racer Petra Vlhova snatched the next historic triumph from Mikaela Shiffrin.
The Slovak won the night slalom in Flachau, Austria, 0.43 seconds ahead of second-placed American Shiffrin and celebrated her first win of the season.
Munich's Lena Dürr raced onto the podium as a strong third for the second time this World Cup winter.
Ski star Shiffrin had won the giant slalom in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, last Sunday and, with her 82nd World Cup victory, drew level with her compatriot Lindsey Vonn, who retired in 2019, at the top of the all-time list of women.
Another success in Flachau could have made her the sole record holder.
The 27-year-old has a few more chances to do so this winter.
The record for most Alpine World Cup victories is also getting closer for Shiffrin, who has already won eight races this season.
Only the former Swedish technology specialist Ingemar Stenmark is ahead of her with 86 successes.
