The archers of the BSG Ebersberg had traveled to the bulging gym of the permanent rival FSG Tacherting for the 3rd Bundesliga competition with two core tasks.

Both were fulfilled.

BY JULIAN BETZL

Ebersberg/Tacherting – “First of all, we wanted to buy the ticket for the national final in Wiesbaden.

Secondly, I wanted to enable our substitute shooters to practice and compete in competitions,” explained BSG trainer Andreas Blaschke.

In addition to many home fans, the Ebersbergers were supported in the stands by around 30 supporters from the district town.

"We were particularly pleased that so many young shooters took part," added Blaschke with a laugh: "Of course, they don't have as loud a voice as the full-grown Tacherting fans."

As usual, the hosts had set up professional equipment for the best viewing experience.

The fans in the hall were informed precisely about the course of the competition by means of digital display boards.

In addition, those who stayed at home could watch all duels via internet live stream and of course also listen to the cheers from Ebersberg, which regularly erupted during the first half of the competition.

The BSG started the match day against Natternberg (6:2 set points), Büschfeld (6:0), Bayreuth (6:0) and Freiburg (7:1) with four consistently convincing victories, in which Ebersberg's substitute Christian Höck also played a decisive role had - and even inspired the purple appendage after the break with a perfect game against SGi Welzheim.

Blaschke's top trio of Michelle Kroppen, Elisa Tartler and Maxi Weckmüller managed to win all three sets with a maximum of 60 points (6:0).

"As is often the case when you've already delivered such great matches and even a 'perfect game', the last bit of concentration is missing afterwards," Blaschke analyzed the subsequent 2:6 defeat against BC Villingen-Schwenningen and looked for a comparison with the somewhat smaller sport arrows.

"In darts, after a nine-darter, things get sluggish at first.

But when it's going well, you let it go.

After all, you don't want to be the fool who shoots the only nine."

At the last Ebersberg match of the day, excitement and atmosphere in the Tachertinger gymnasium reached their peak.

The respective fan blocks gathered behind the shooters of the host FSG and the BSG.

After the small mood dampener before, the Ebersberger Schützen did not find their way back to their best form in the prestige duel with the organizers and after the 2:6 defeat they also had to cede the lead of the table back to the FSG Tacherting.

Nevertheless, Blaschke was able to tick off the two core goals mentioned at the beginning with satisfaction.

After three out of four competitions, the leading duo of the Süd-Staffel, Tacherting and Ebersberg, have secured their starting places in the federal final for the German championship on February 25th in Wiesbaden.

And in addition to Christian Höck, substitute shooter Amelie Eichner with the Bayernliga team of the BSG was able to record a sense of achievement, shooting the BSG reserve from eighth to sixth place and thus bringing the league a big step closer.

On the last day of competition in the Bundesliga, Blaschke's team wants to regain the lead in the standings in Welzheim on Saturday, February 4th.

"We'll then look at the group membership in the national finals," the BSG coach would like to initially avoid the supposedly only title competitor from the north season, BSC BB Berlin.
