The anger about the 0:5 rating against the Gladiators after the game was abandoned in the game against Schongau is still great in Erding.
As is well known, the game on December 23 was stopped because a spectator hit the line judge with a puck on the head.
The referees actually wanted to continue the whistle in a two-man system, both teams also wanted to continue, but after a telephone consultation with league manager Frank Butz, the game was stopped and now scored against Erding.
"What's the point of the decision - everyone wanted to continue playing - except for you, Mr. Butz - against collective penalties!" read the banners presented by the Erdinger fan block on Friday.
"We have to accept the rating, even if we are of course not very happy with it," known Gladiators spokesman David Whitney, adding: "We will definitely be fined – up to a maximum of 2500 euros are possible." This is manipulation doors are actually wide open, if a game doesn't go well away from home, theoretically you only need to throw a puck at the referees and the game is lost for the home team.
"The saddest news is that, despite a reward being offered, we still have not received a lead on the puck thrower," Whitney said.
"It's not the right way to cover a Spezl here." The club still hopes that the decisive clue will come.
"You can contact us by e-mail or by phone," emphasized the spokesman: "The reward of 1000 euros is still available." wk
