Noël Le Graët no longer has much support.
And this within its own Federation.
Patrick Anton, president of the National Council of Ethics (CNE) of the FFF, calls for the withdrawal and the resignation of the highest leader of the largest sports federation in France.
"
We are calling on the president of the Federation to withdraw from his duties and therefore to resign,
" says Patrick Anton to
L'Equipe
.
We need a power that is strong and serene, which unfortunately is no longer the case.

Before adding: "
All season long we have to apply to leaders - in particular presidents of districts or leagues - the rules of ethics and to transmit files to disciplinary committees because they have crossed line.
Regarding the president of the Federation, if obviously we do not intend to seize a disciplinary committee, we can only ask him to withdraw, in the best interests of football.

Former lawyer and referee in football, the president of the CNE was shocked by the words of Noël Le Graët towards Zinédine Zidane.
“
The president made remarks which show that he has lost some of his lucidity.
He is a man who is tired, who needs to move on.
Governing a Federation which has two million licensees presupposes that one does not lose his calm and serenity as he did.
We need to find a strong course.
