The junior trio from EHC Klostersee finished the Open German Short Track Championships for adults in Dresden with a satisfactory result.

Grafing – titles or podium places were out of reach.

"The participants from Rostock or Dresden are already too strong," explained EHC department head Renate Ulrich, "but we can be satisfied with our times and performance.

That was a success.”

Daughter Katharina Ulrich (17) ended up as the best of the three Grafinger Eisflitzer in the women's field in fifth place in the all-around classification.

Her top individual result was fourth place in the 1000 meters (1:40.293 min.).

With 46.417 seconds, the soon-to-be high school graduate also came close to her personal 500-meter record, which she only set at the beginning of December in Inzell (46.391).

However, the 1500 m super final fell victim to a surprising stomach ache, because national coach Katerina Nowotna then gave the Klosterseeerin a starting ban.

Katharine Röskenbleck, who turned 18 on Sunday and, like Kathi Ulrich, belongs to the younger A-Junior class, ended up in eleventh place.

After several injuries, the EHC newcomer only started training again a few weeks ago and was immediately close to best times on all routes.

Her brother Jonathan Röskenbleck was 18th in the men's race. The B-Junior had a collision at the start of the 500 race and drove cautiously with a damaged runner.

After Grafing's trainer Mimi Pollnow had repaired the shoe, he still managed a 1000 meter best time (1:30.978 min.).

Kathi Ulrich and Jonathan Röskenbleck stayed in the Elbe metropolis after the title fights.

This week you are taking part in the DESG sighting course for the Junior World Championships.
