Aitor Karanka, the new coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv (Maccabi Tel Aviv's official website)
Maccabi Tel Aviv did not want to part with Voladan Ivić, but will take solace in the very impressive financial compensation they will receive for him.
The Russian club Krasnodar, to which the Serbian moved, pledged to pay Maccabi Tel Aviv an amount of 750 thousand euros for the coach.
Krasnodar must pay the money by the end of the month.
The group insured itself with a mechanism that satisfied its wishes in order to receive the money from the Russians, despite quite a few concerns that have existed in recent months on the part of many groups that are afraid to do business with Russian groups, due to the war with Ukraine.
Maccabi Tel Aviv are convinced that the money will go through and as mentioned have insured themselves so that it will happen, if there is a problem getting the money.
Maccabi Tel Aviv wanted more than 750,000 euros in exchange for waiving Ivic, with sources privy to the details saying that the Yellows wanted 1 million euros, while the Russians initially only agreed to 500,000 euros.
In the end, the amount was closed at 750 thousand euros.

Apart from that, Maccabi Tel Aviv obviously spared the high salary of the coach and his team of assistants.
It is estimated that this is a sum of 600,000 euros until the end of the season, but since the team added a high profile coach like Aitor Karanka with a team of senior assistants including Juan Torrijo, in the end the sums will be offset.
Ivić will close a week tomorrow since he officially finished at Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Players in the team also told this morning at the meeting they had at the Ramat Aviv mall, that saying goodbye to the coach in the dressing room in Bloomfield exactly a week ago at the end of the cup game against Bnei Sakhnin, was a very moving sight.
"It was really hard for him to speak. He literally choked on tears," said one of the players in the team this morning.
"We knew that behind the tough character Ivić had feelings, but still seeing him break down like that in front of us, was something not many will forget."
"The pressure on Ivić will be enormous. He may become a failure in a short time"
