Fabien Galthié has confirmed that Laurent Sempéré, coach of the Paris scrum, will work for the XV of France after the World Cup.

“I confirm that Laurent Sempéré has signed up with the XV of France for the next term”.

It is with these words that Fabien Galthié confirmed, this Tuesday at a press conference in the Dordogne, the crossover that will take place between the staffs of the XV of France and the Stade Français Paris after the World Cup (September 8 - October 28).

The current coaches of the backs of the Blues, Laurent Labit, and of the conquest, Karim Ghezal, will indeed join the Parisian club after the World Cup.

Laurent Sempéré, former hooker of the Soldats roses and coach of the Parisian scrum, will therefore take him the opposite way.

“We have worked a lot with him and the Stade Français for 3 years, but also with other French technicians.

The opportunity made Laurent Sempéré free, explained Galthié.

It presents performances of very very high level, at the level of the forwards and the key in particular.

We were looking for a very strong skill at this level to take over the role of Karim Ghezal.

Fabien Galthié took the opportunity to greet the coaches who will leave him after the World Cup (Ghezal and Labit, but also Thibault Giroud who will join Bordeaux).

“They have chosen paths that belong to them, I would like to thank them and also congratulate the clubs that will benefit from their skills.

We are really on a divide, ”explained Galthié.

The coach of the Blues has confirmed that he has signed his contract extension until 2027.
