Advanced statistics have become an integral part of basketball, and the Euroleague has also joined the American trend in recent years.

The Italian statistician Niccolò Fiumi published yesterday the list of outstanding players in the Defensive Stop Gained statistical index, which measures the amount of stops made by a certain player in defense.
The defensive measure in question tries to demonstrate how much a certain player helps his team in defense in one-on-one situations.
After 17 rounds, the one who is ranked first in the statistical category in question is Matthias Lesor, former Maccabi Tel Aviv and who will host tomorrow (Wednesday) with Partizan Belgrade in the hall.
