Several Toulouse players, including Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack, met Mathias in his hospital room a month later.

The world of rugby supports Mathias.

On December 14, the 17-year-old high school student was seriously injured during a school meeting between his establishment in Saint-Pierre de Tarbes and that of Notre-Dame de Garaison in Monléon-Magnoac.

Quadriplegic since this accident linked to a tackle, the young man was able to find some comfort with the arrival in his hospital room, in Toulouse, of several players from the Stade Toulousain.

Thus, Antoine Dupont, Romain Ntamack, Anthony Jelonch, Julien Marchand, Cyril Baille, Matthis Lebel and other team members came to greet the injured.

“A huge THANK YOU to the great players from Stade Toulousain who came to visit Mathias this afternoon in his hospital room in Toulouse,” wrote Stade Bagnérais, the club where the teenager is dismissed, on Twitter.

Asked by their son's team, Mathias' parents saw "a lot of happiness, admiration and pride" in his eyes.

Julien Marchand, hooker for the France team, noticed the unusual length of the boy's hair, comparing his cut with the photos displayed in the hospital room.

The French international therefore offered to invite the Toulouse club's hairdresser to fix his hair.

Stade Bagnérais has also launched an online kitty to support its player.

After the accident, the UNSS had put a stop to the practice of rugby in the school setting, before authorizing the partial resumption of sport.
