The handball women of TSV Taufkirchen started the new year with a great performance.
Taufkirchen – At HC Deggendorf, the team around trainer Patrick Mühlenbeck celebrated a clear 25:11 (11:7) and has thus come close to the top duo in the East district class.
"The training during the holidays seems to have worked quite well.
That was a sovereign victory with announcement”, the TSV coach was happy about the two points he had previously requested.
In the initial phase, the Taufkirchen guests needed almost ten minutes to get used to until the combinations ran smoothly.
From a 2:2 you made a 5:2 within 101 seconds (12th) and controlled the events from then on.
The Deggendorfer took close cover of playmaker Sophia Pregler from the first minute, but "they made life difficult for themselves because it only opened up more gaps for us," explained Mühlenbeck.
These scenarios and thus the 1-on-1 situations were also practiced in extra training with Thomas Anhoffer.
Theresa Pregler in particular took advantage of this and ended up scoring nine goals.
But Mühlenbeck, who is now supported on the bench by assistant coach Florian Lehner, found the TSV cover to be even stronger.
The proof: "In the second half alone we didn't concede a goal for almost 20 minutes.
You have to do that first," he said.
Sophia Pregler carefully directed the middle block.
And if there was a shot on the TSV box, goalkeeper Sabrina Josef was on the post.
Taufkirchen's women consequently increased their lead, after the 11:7 at the break, they pulled away to 18:7 (47 th ).
Even when they were outnumbered twice, the guests from the Vils didn't allow anything.
Coach Mühlenbeck gave all 14 players playing times.
Among them was Elena Bachmaier.
The 16-year-old made her successful debut.
