VfB Hallbergmoos starts preparations earlier than all other Bayernliga competitors.

One or two new players are to be made available to the new coaching duo.

Hallbergmoos – The first half of the season was bad and therefore VfB Hallbergmoos has a lot of catching up to do.

Therefore, the Bayernliga penultimate team started preparing for the spring round earlier than any other team.

One to two weeks before the competition, VfB went onto the pitch for the first time - under the direction of the new coaching duo Florian Brachtel and Bastian Bornkessel.

VfB Hallbergmoos: New coach Brachtel is assigned Bastian Bornkessel as co - they know each other

After the separation from Matthias Strohmaier, VfB immediately promoted the 28-year-old Florian Brachtel from assistant to head coach.

The next step in the reorganization was the search for an assistant.

With Bastian Bornkessel, the club opted for a relatively blank slate.

The two new coaches know each other from their time together in Dornach, where Brachtel was Bornkessel's first coach in Bavaria.

Later, the Neu-Hallbergmooser looked after the second team of the SVD.

The 34-year-old was on the verge of joining a professional club at a young age.

In the B youth there was a move to VfL Bochum, but he had to choose between football and tennis.

Bornkessel then also played tennis and was in the top 200 of the junior world rankings.

After moving to the Free State, he played under Florian Brachtel and later under the former Hallbergmoos coach Anton Plattner.

"Now that's a huge leap," says Bornkessel, "I wanted to be a coach and I'm happy about the great opportunity."

VfB Hallbergmoos: Küchle is working on "one or two" newcomers

At the start of training, VfB Hallbergmoos was not yet able to present any newcomers.

"We want to do one or two things," reports sporting director Anselm Küchle, "but we want to make the right choice."

His new head coach Florian Brachtel waits relaxed and sees the current squad as an opportunity to develop players into newcomers.

As an example, he cites striker Maurice David, who has so far only hinted at his potential in phases.

"Now we need the magic of small steps," says the new trainer, who chose the extremely early start of training for precisely this reason.

Of course, things will also be tried out in terms of tactics and formation, but above all the team must work towards their true potential again.

In the season so far, there have been a few injuries, as well as top performers who have been overtaken by relegation, as well as young talents who are not yet quite at Bayernliga level.

Florian Brachtel is still aggressive: His team will look for solutions with ball possession.

"We can't copy the second half of last season," says the new coach.

Then VfB stabilized on the defensive and earned relegation as one of the best teams in the second half of the season.

This year the task is at least a little easier because there is only one direct relegation.
