Arturo Iglesias, the morale of the Yellows, wants to go with the team as far as possible in Europe: "Everyone likes to work hard"

Maccabi Tel Aviv in volleyball will go up tomorrow (Thursday, 20:00), for the first (home) match in the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup against Omonia Nicosia, to continue the momentum and take another step closer to the Final Four.

The Israeli champions have completed their preparations against their rival from Cyprus, national champions and holders of the state cup for two years, and the one who is expected to come to the game is the new Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar who will be honored with his presence.

One of the prominent players in the Israeli team is Arturo Iglesias (27, 1.97 meters), the captain of the Puerto Rico team who previously played in leagues in Poland, Puerto Rico and France.

He came to upgrade the yellows in the moral position.

Iglesias fit in well in Gal Galili's team, and as you can see, the team finished the first round in the league with a perfect balance with 9 wins, and in the European Challenge Cup they qualified for the quarter-finals for the fourth time in the club's history, after knocking out the powerful Pauk Thessaloniki in the previous stage.

Iglesias talked about his integration into the team: "I feel great. There is a great atmosphere among the players and everyone likes to work hard. This is what I am looking for in a team and I found it here. I have played in many different leagues over the years and in tournaments all over the world, so I have gained a lot of experience and different situations in terms of morale which I now bring with me to Maccabi."

Iglesias added: "We have an excellent team with very high quality players and a good coach. This is a team with a good balance between the players, a good team connection and we all really want to win. This is the goal we see before our eyes."

Just before the upcoming match against the Cypriots, Iglesias explains what his expectations are for the match: "Each round we go through in Europe, the games become more difficult. We hope to win with the support of the fans at home, like we did against PAUK Thessaloniki."
