Every year, the battle for the next big thing in the NBA only gets stronger, with the new hit being an 18-year-old Spanish player who has yet to play a single minute in the college league, which he joined a few weeks ago.
Meet Baba Miller, a native of Majorca and a Real Madrid player until recently, who left his country to fulfill his dream and landed at Florida College, equipped with high motivation and a lot of talent.
The young power forward, who stands at a height of 2.11 m, had to wait 16 games out before he was cleared to participate in the college's games, but none of that stopped commentators from placing him as one of the safe draft picks in the summer of 2023.
Not many people know about Miller in the United States, and still not only Florida College expects him to help them improve their negative record (11:5), but every scout in the NBA is keeping an eye on him.
The optimistic estimates are that he will be selected 9th in the upcoming draft, probably by the Los Angeles Lakers, but even if he is pushed out of the top ten, everyone is sure that next season he will have a contract in the NBA.
The pessimists in "Prophets" promise him the 27th spot in the first round of the draft, after just a month ago they only found a place for him in the second third of the second round.
At the senior level, after working magic in the youth department, Real Madrid gave him the opportunity to debut in the Euroleague last month, in a home game against CSKA Moscow, after which he went to the United States
