, cyclist Thibaut Pinot will end his career at the end of the season.
Professional since 2010, stage winner on the three Grand Tours (France, Italy, Spain), the Frenchman was notably French time trial champion in 2016. The Groupama-FDJ team climber should stop after the Tour of Lombardy, a race he already won in 2018.
"Now I'm ready for real life,"
he confides, before adding with a smile:
"When I run, we'll know it's the last time, before I go and bury myself in my hole."
His goal, the Giro
Thibaut Pinot announced in December that he will return to the Tour of Italy in 2023, five years after his last participation.
Without totally ruling out a possible participation in the Tour de France, the 32-year-old climber has made the Giro his main objective next season.

, "explained the third in the Tour de France in 2014. After a back injury in 2020 , the Frenchman raised his arms for the first time in more than a thousand days in 2022 at the Tour of the Alps, before also winning a stage at the Tour of Switzerland.
