+++ FAST FIX +++

Weghorst to Old Trafford

Cristiano Ronaldo is finally history at Manchester United, but now the English record champions need a new attacker.

The choice apparently fell on the Dutchman Wout Weghorst.

He is under contract with Premier League club Burnley FC but is currently on loan at Beşiktaş Istanbul.

Among other things, the BBC reported that the Dutchman should initially come to Manchester on loan.

United will transfer compensation of around 3 million euros to Istanbul for the end of the loan.

Accordingly, the medical check and the signing of the contract are still pending today.

The 30-year-old Weghorst switched from VfL Wolfsburg to the then English first division club Burnley in January 2022.

The striker could not prevent the relegation of the ›Clarets‹.

Weghorst experienced his most successful time until January 2022 at VfL Wolfsburg, where he scored 70 goals in 144 games.

At the World Cup in Qatar he was only a substitute player, but then scored two goals in the quarter-finals against Argentina.

The Dutch had the eventual world champions on the brink of defeat and only lost a curious game on penalties.

Not everyone is enthusiastic about the transfer.

Former Netherlands international Wesley Sneijder told 'Voetbalprimeur': 'Is he really someone United are waiting for as a striker?

No, I do not think so.

That must be a joke.

That can't be true." There are 300 attackers like Weghorst in the Premier League.

Rutter will probably leave Hoffenheim for England

TSG Hoffenheim can look forward to substantial transfer proceeds.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Georginio Rutter is about to move to Leeds United.

According to Sky, the transfer fee should amount to around 40 million euros.

The 21-year-old French offensive player only switched from Stade Rennes to Hoffenheim two years ago, at that time for 750,000 euros.

+++ RUMOR +++

Nagelsmann insists on a new keeper

After Manuel Neuer's injury, who will be out at least until the end of the season, Bayern are still looking for a new goalkeeper.

The poker around Gladbach's Yann Sommer continues.

That's why coach Julian Nagelsmann urges patience.

“The market situation is complex.

We're trying to do something," he said on the sidelines of the training camp in Qatar.

"We have a duty to get another goalkeeper, regardless of the number one."

As of now, Bayern are going into the second half of the season with Sven Ulreich as regular keeper.

Various media reports that Alexander Nübel, who was loaned to AS Monaco, should not be off the table yet.

Knauff can imagine Eintracht whereabouts

Ansgar Knauff, on loan from Borussia Dortmund to league rival Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of the season, can imagine staying with the Hessians beyond this season.

"Of course," Knauff replied in an interview with "Kicker" magazine when asked whether Eintracht fans could hope for the 21-year-old offensive player to stay.

»Eintracht and BVB are both great clubs with fantastic fans and awesome stadiums.

I don't know what's going to happen after summer," he added.

Knauff left it open when the decision was made.

“Of course we will get together sooner or later to discuss how to proceed, but now would not be the right time.” Knauff is contractually bound to BVB until 2024.

He won the Europa League with Frankfurt last season.
