Since 2020, PSG has had the tallest player in the world in its ranks. He signed up this Thursday for 4 years with a German club

The French championship will lose the greatest player in the world.

No, not Nikola Karabatic but the Latvian Dainis Kristopans.

PSG's right-back is 2.15m tall.

While the world championship has just started in Poland, the giant has decided to leave the capital at the end of this season.

He signed up on January 12 for the German club MT Melsungen.

Aged 32, Kristopans arrived in France in 2020. After two complicated first seasons, he ended up finding his marks this year to the point of being one of the best Parisians in the current exercise.

Before arriving at PSG, he won the Champions League with Vardar Skopje in 2019.

The time to win two French championship titles and perhaps a third at the end of the season, the Latvian will therefore play in Germany next season.

It was his new club that sold the wick in the middle of the day on its website.

Currently sixth in the German championship, Melsungen in the center of the country is led by Spanish coach Roberto Garcia Parrondo, alongside whom Kristopans had lifted the Champions League with Vardar almost 4 years ago.

"Everyone at this club, from management and coach to supporters and sponsors, does a lot to make sure the team is moving in the right direction," explained the Latvian.

For me personally, there are also great opportunities for development and professional growth.

I wish to contribute to the achievement of the ambitious sporting objectives of the “MT”.

The giant has signed a 4-year contract, until 2027. Before crossing the Rhine, he will have to finish the season with PSG with at least a double objective: to seek a new title of champion of France and finally win the Champions League.
