The ice hackers of EV Moosburg want to add the next relegation round three in Lechbruck.

– After the last four home games in a row, EV Moosburg has to play away at ERC Lechbruck on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The goals are clearly formulated: A threesome is to come - and above all an increase in performance.

With the 2:1 win last Friday against SG TSV Schliersee/TEV Miesbach 1b, the green and yellow have started successfully in the state league relegation round.

However, not as confidently as those responsible would have wished.

"Like last time against Selb, we didn't play well," says EVM trainer Benoit Doucet.

"It's a mystery to me.

Every time we play against a weaker opponent, we act like in a friendly.

Last Friday, the Dreirosenstädter had defended a 1-0 lead for a long time before the good goalkeeper Thomas Mende was powerless in the third period and the 1-1 equalization fell.

The guests of SG Schliersee/Miesbach 1b were then closer to the second goal than Moosburg, but Lukas Majercik provided the lucky punch from the blue line 90 seconds before the end.

“I can be quite satisfied with just one goal.

But the boys defended well towards the end and didn't allow much more," said goalie Mende after the match.

“From my point of view, it could have turned out differently.

But the important thing, what counts, are the three points.”

Twelve points in the relegation round are mandatory

EVM sports director Hans Eder believes that the team must get at least twelve points in the relegation round to be "safe".

Three are already on the credit side – three more are to follow in Lechbruck.

For the hosts, the game in the Lechpark Stadium is the first appearance in the relegation round.

The raftsmen are currently ninth in the table with eleven points and want to build up a cushion on tenth place as quickly as possible.

In addition, the ERC strengthened itself again in December, brought Marcus Köpf back from Schongau and committed Johannes Albl from Pfronten for defense.

The EVM also has two newcomers in Mario Strobel and Majercik.

Strobel will probably be out until the end of the season due to a shoulder injury – he had to have an operation.

There is also something new in terms of scheduling: The Moosburgers' home game against EHC Bad Aibling, scheduled for January 20 at 7:30 p.m., has been postponed to February 26 (5:15 p.m.).
