Drama tonight at the Hadar Yosef Stadium: after fans threw flares from the stands onto the field in the middle of the Maccabi Tel Aviv volleyball match against Nicosia - the game was stopped for a long time.
Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar, who was present at the scene, called on the fans to immediately stop throwing flares and directed the ushers to restore order.

After many minutes, the Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar agreed with the European observer that the match would continue without the fans.
"The violent fans will not be in the fields, it's time to eradicate every violent incident at sports events," Zohar said.
