The only representative of the district of Erding put in a great performance at the Freisinger Masters: FC Moosinning not only finished third, which brought them 200 euros for the team fund.
Freising/Moosinning – Freising's Luitpoldsporthalle was firmly in Attachinger's hands: the BCA district league footballers won the Freisinger Tagblatt Indoor Masters – with a dramatic and emotional 4:3 final victory over hosts SE Freising.
Half of the 800 euro prize money was reserved for the Attachinger party in the night cafe – the other half went to player Didier Nguelefack, who wants to use it to build a well at home in Cameroon.
The only representative of the district of Erding also put in a great performance: FC Moosinning not only finished third, which brought them 200 euros for the team fund.
Yannick Sassmann was also recognized as the tournament's top scorer with four goals, which brought in a further 50 euros.
The Moosinningers only had to admit defeat to Fatih Ingolstadt in the preliminary round.
The district league club then celebrated secure victories against SVA Palzing, MSV Bajuwaren and FCA Unterbruck and bought their ticket for the semi-finals.
The big favorite Freising was waiting there, but the Moosinninger played extremely disciplined and didn't allow any chances.
However, they received a two-minute penalty with 53 seconds to go.
At the final whistle it was still 0-0.
According to the rules, overtime was played 3 against 3 instead of 4 against 4.
Because of the penalty, this meant for FCM: two field players for 63 seconds.
FCM had just gotten over the awkward time when Staas Mitko managed the golden goal for Freising after a quick free kick and a pass from Felix Günzel.
“It was extremely annoying because we were better.
We also failed because of our poor evaluation of chances," said FCM coach Christoph Ball afterwards.
Also annoying: Both Fatih Ingolstadt and Vatanspor Freising did not appear in their placement games.
They had left the hall through the back door.
As a result, the FCM finished third without a fight.
