The head in the clouds: Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Beer Sheva represent a different future Israel today

Despite Slobodan Drapić's desire to coach in a big club, it seems that he has fallen into a complicated situation with the Reds anyway • Also: the great sporting experiences provided by the team from the Negev say a lot about it, even if it does not win the championship this year

Hapoel Tel Aviv fell apart in the last round of the league against Hapoel Beer Sheva, in a game from which there was no way back for coach Sloboden Drapich. But the coach alone is not responsible for the situation, and it seems that a situation of chaos has arisen in the club, where no one has a real way to improve the ability of the group.

When he arrived at the Red Club, he was riding the waves of success he had in Kiryat Shmona, and only a random argument with the team's owner, Izzi Sharetzki, prevented him from continuing.

It is difficult to find a match between a club and a coach, and when this happens - it is worthwhile to maintain continuity, which may lead to a process of mutual development and professional success.

Drapich, who was removed from the list of Premier League coaches at the beginning of the season, found an attractive job with the dismissal of Kobi Yarofa, and was apparently upgraded as a coach at the Tel Aviv club.

It's not an easy club to train in, and if you don't come from a position of confidence and inner strength - you'll end up crashing.

A coach who reaches such a place must have extensive authority, and in order to be successful - he must have the last word in professional matters, and have a decisive influence in the decision-making process.

He needs to have an unreserved back, so that he can change and make moves without fear of his status.

Only a powerful coach, behind whom there is no internal reservation from within the club, will be able to withstand the great pressure in the Khodorov complex, the media's demand for explanations and the fans' demand for quick success.

Only one of these can succeed in the administrative tangle between the current management and the potential buyers, who are delaying for the time being and it is not yet clear if they will indeed become owners as well.

I understand Drapić's desire to coach in a respected and senior club, but throughout his stay at the club he seems to agree with the equation that treats him as a coach who gets a chance at a big club.

This is a situation that made everyone examine and test him at every step.

When the good results did not come, there was an opening for doubts about his appointment in the first place, and it is possible that he felt this too.

It's a situation that can make any coach lose focus and not be at his best.

Furthermore, they should know how to give the coach the full professional authority and the necessary support for him to succeed in his role.

Ultimately, his success is your success.

Hapoel BS returned to the league - in a big way. The 0:6 victory against Hapoel Tel Aviv, and the impressive display in the loss against Maccabi Haifa at Sami Ofer last week, proved that the team's fans are getting full value for their support and are receiving Israeli football at the highest level.

Even all neutral football fans, who are not identified with a specific club, can enjoy the excellent Beer Sheva football.

However, the race for the championship title of the Reds from the capital of the Negev seems more complicated and difficult than ever, with both Maccabi Tel Aviv and the champion Maccabi Haifa winning and proving a clear superiority over most of the teams in the league.

Hapoel B.S. regretted the pursuit of titles, and winning the championship is a definite and explicit goal in the club. As one who believes that the path is more important than the result, I have a problem defining success according to position in the table, and I prefer to refer to the realization of the team's ability and the level of football that is presented as a proper measure.

In my opinion, the team is a professional success even if it doesn't win any titles, and this is due to the fact that it gives us all great sporting experiences.

I know that the general trend is to define the first place as a measure, but a football team is not measured by the position alone - but also and especially by its path throughout the season.

For this, compliments are due to all those involved in the craft.
