Benjamin Mendy, defender of Manchester City and the French national team, has been acquitted of rape of four women and sexual assault against another woman, about two years after he was first arrested on suspicion of turning his mansion into a scene of sex crimes.

Mandy, 28, was unanimously acquitted of seven counts of rape and sexual assault after a five-month trial at Chester Crown Court.

As mentioned, he was arrested for the first time in November 2020, was released and the investigation against him continued until he was arrested again in August 2021 and of course since then he was in custody and was not part of the club's activities, which even today after the end of the trial he refused to address the issue because there are sections in which Mandy is still accused.

Now Mandy will appear for another trial because the jury was unable to reach an agreement in cases of suspected rape and attempted rape against two other women.

Mandy tearfully denied in court that he raped those people and claimed that they wanted to have sex with him.

He also denied the accusation that he sexually harassed him in the kitchen of his home, as one of the women complained.

In total, Mandy was charged with seven counts of rape against four women, attempted rape of another woman and a charge of sexual assault against a sixth woman.

Luis Saha, who was arrested and charged together with Mandy, was acquitted in three cases in which he was accused of rape against two different women.

During the discussions Mandy also claimed that it is "completely normal" that he sleeps with many women, sometimes on the same day as well as with those who were with his friends.

He also admitted that being a famous footballer, world champion with France, helped him meet and spend time with many women who want to come to his house.
