The A and B youth of SE Freising want to surprise at the Upper Bavarian indoor championships.

On paper, however, both teams are just outsiders.

Freising

– After both the B and A juniors of SE Freising were very successful at the Donau/Isar indoor district championships in the past few weeks, the Upper Bavarian title fights are now on.

Of course, these entail significantly more demanding tasks for the two district league teams.

On Saturday the B-Juniors drive to Altenerding - and on Sunday the A-Youth of the SE Freising takes on the journey to Traunstein.

Tough chunks in the preliminary round

From 10 a.m. in the Sempt-Sport-Halle (Pretzener Weg 20 in Erding), the B-Juniors want to build on their recent performances.

This will be necessary in order to be able to fend off the strong competition.

In the preliminary round, the SEF footballers meet two favorite state league teams, SC Fürstenfeldbruck and SV Planegg-Krailling, although hosts SpVgg Altenerding and district classist TSV Schongau should not be underestimated.

Bayern league club TSV 1860 Rosenheim, state league club FC Deisenhofen, regional league club DJK Ingolstadt and the two district league teams TSV Gilching/Argelsried and JFG Mangfalltal-Maxlrain play in the parallel group – strong opponents for a potential semi-final.

The two finalists will then compete at the Bavarian indoor championship (January 28, 10 a.m.,

in Deggendorf) represented the district of Upper Bavaria.

But it would be a big surprise if the SEF were to prevail against the well-known competition.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

U 19 of the SE Freising goes to Traunstein

The task for the U19s of the SEF is likely to be even more difficult, because twelve teams will start at the Upper Bavarian championship in Traunstein (Sunday, from 9 a.m.).

In addition, only the tournament winner is allowed to travel to the Bavarian in Essenbach (Saturday, January 21, 10 a.m.).

Whether the SEF comes into question remains to be seen, because the Freisingers are already faced with tough challenges in the preliminary round.

In Group B, there are three state league teams: TSV 1865 Murnau, TuS Geretsried and SV Planegg-Krailling.

Furthermore, with the DFI Bad Aibling and the SB Chiemgau Traunstein, there are still two district league teams waiting, so that the Domstadters probably only play the outsider role.

Should the leap into the semi-finals succeed, the SEF will either have to play with the Bavarian league club FC Deisenhofen, Türkgücü Munich, TSV 1860 Rosenheim (both state leagues), SpVgg Altenerding, JFG Holzland/Inn or SC Unterpfaffenhofen (all district leagues). cross.

A progress here would also be more of a sensation.
