Next German biathlon disappointment: Italian wins before French in Ruhpolding

On Thursday, the German biathletes again missed the podium in the individual race.

The Italian Lisa Vittozzi convinced and took first place in Ruhpolding.

• Biathlon World Cup 2022/2023: The

  women's 15 km individual race

  was scheduled for Ruhpolding  .

• The DSV biathletes ended up far behind.

  Vanessa Voigt finished eleventh as the best German.

Second-placed Lou Jeanmonnot finished a full 39 seconds behind first-placed, with her compatriot Julia Simon third.

The best German is Vanessa Voigt, who came eleventh.

So there is no DSV starter in the top ten +++

Biathlon World Cup: Women's singles over 15 kilometers - six DSV starters in Ruhpolding

There are still about four weeks until the home World Championships in Oberhof, which is why the German ski hunters want to show themselves all the more.

In addition to the experienced Denise Herrmann-Wick, 25-year-old Vanessa Voigt, who is considered a good shooter, and Anna Weidel, who is one year older, will start the race.

25-year-old Sophia Schneider, Juliane Frühwirt (24) and Janina Hettich-Walz (26) complete the six-man DSV team in the individual competition.

The process of the individual race is quite simple.

The longest competition in women's biathlon is heavily influenced by the hits of the respective athletes due to four stops at the shooting range.

There is a penalty minute for each mistake, the ski hunters can no longer compensate for too many missed shots on the track.

So it will depend above all on the good shooters.
