Bastian Schweinsteiger is a German soccer legend.
However, his fans resent his prediction for the year 2023.
Munich – Bastian Schweinsteiger and his football expertise are in demand.
Most recently, his performances were celebrated together with Esther Sedlaczek at the 2022 World Cup.
Because the 2014 world champion was so well received by the public, ARD has now extended the contract with Schweinsteiger.
The former world-class midfielder keeps his community involved in football issues.
Before big games, which he attends as an expert, Schweini likes to create surveys on Instagram to find out who is going to win.
Now he has become an oracle himself, as reported by tz.de.
Bastian Schweinsteiger remains an ARD expert: football legend with predictions for 2023
In his latest Instagram video, Schweinsteiger answers questions about the upcoming football year 2023. The clip begins quite harmlessly: "Who will win the Champions League?" The 38-year-old replies: "I hope Bayern Munich." Then it goes to the masters in Germany and England.
The FCB legend commits itself: Bayern Munich and Arsenal London.
Schweinsteiger's answer to the fourth question was somewhat surprising: The best international youngster?
The expert bobbles his head, then says in a slightly doubtful tone, "Jude Bellingham." Excuse me?
Sure, the Dortmund midfielder enchants the Bundesliga, made a good impression at the World Cup and will one day become a world star.

But don't you think of other candidates like Schweinsteiger?
Isn't there a young man at Schweini's former club who already feels like he's carrying an entire football nation on his shoulders?
Who dribbles through Bayern midfield in a way that even Schweini couldn't do at his best?
Of course we're talking about Jamal Musiala!
Many fans cannot believe Schweinsteiger's BVB answer.
In the comments they write: "Musiala > Belingham, Basti", "Jamal Musiala", "Everything is right, except that Musiala is better than Bellingham" or "Basti, I like you very much, you were my favorite footballer and will be." stay forever, but Musiala>>Bellingham."
Musiala or Bellingham?
Schweinsteiger criticized by fans
Possibly behind Schweinsteiger's answer was a little tactic to take the only 19-year-old Musiala out of the limelight.
This was also suspected by a follower, who expressed the following suspicion: “I think he said it on purpose.
If every Bayern legend raved about him in such an extreme way, it wouldn't be good for Musiala."

Either way: Bellingham and Musiala will soon be able to prove themselves again on the Bundesliga stage.
Germany's football upper house will be back in action from January 20th.
Schweinsteiger will look forward to the round leather.
In the end he was more concerned with the small, yellow felt ball.
