Second year of the project started in the Gaza Strip • Moshe Sinai: "In the past, not many visited the periphery, and all the screenings and training were done only in the center of the country, so it was important that the entire team of the technical department came here"

The second year of the project of the technical department of the football association started on Wednesday at Nopi Hashour High School in the Gaza Strip.

As a reminder, last year the project was launched with the 2009 yearbook, when the technical department of the football association watched and followed over 1,000 players from that yearbook.

After the screenings, about 120 players reached the second stage in the House of Representatives and finally 25 players were selected for the football academy.

In addition, 25 more players were selected as reserves for the academy and they also undergo several training sessions a year and are monitored by the technical department.

On the fourth, as mentioned, the second year of the scouting department's flagship project headed by Moshe Sinai began, with the aim of locating players from the 2010 yearbook for the soccer academy, the youngest yearbook that will begin its journey at the soccer academy in September 2023.

The project in the coming months will include a visit to 10 different regions of the country, when A request was sent to all clubs in the same area to recommend 3-4 players with the greatest potential from each club.

The heads of the technical department of the football association led by: Bonnie Ginzburg and Moshe Sinai, and their coaches: Guy Luzon, Guy Azuri, Haim Cohen, Ronen Gabbai, Yossi Kakun and more conducted tests for 60 players yesterday, and the most suitable ones will be invited to phase B of the project.

The Deputy Technical Director, Bonnie Ginzburg: "Today children arrived from Eilat and from all over the southern region. It is our great privilege and also our duty to be everywhere in Israel and locate the most talented players. We opened the screenings here in the Gaza Strip and this is a statement for us - we will be with them even in their difficult times And also in their better times. We are very satisfied with the first selection year with the 2009 yearbook. In every meeting with them we saw their development and it brought us many moments of pleasure. We also have a development group for the academy and we follow 50 players. The process we do here gives an equal opportunity For every child in Israel, in the center or in the periphery. The lifestyle at the academy is tough and requires a lot of investment. There were children who were selected for the academy and eventually gave up on the move. At the professional level, their training mix is very rich and includes medical, physiological, nutritional treatment - all at the highest level, along with their investment in studies".

The head of the scouting system, Moshe Sinai: "In the past, not many people visited the periphery and all the screenings and training were done in the center of the country only, so it was important that the entire team of the technical department came here. Now everything is documented and all the children are registered, which is a great achievement for the football association. We see the energy and joy of The children are here, and that's great for us. As a teenager, I didn't make it to the junior Israel national teams either, but later that changed and I also became the captain of the senior national team. Here, too, there will be children who don't move on to the next level, but the fluctuations at this age are big and everything can change."
