Is Apple on its way to take over the football market?

Today (Saturday) it is reported in England that the leading technology company is interested in purchasing the Premier League broadcasts.
Apple TV is reportedly preparing a bid for the next home of the English Premier League's domestic TV rights as the tech giant looks to increase its football coverage, with a 10-year contract to broadcast the Football League.

The Premier League's current three-year deal with Sky Sports and BT Sport ends in 2025, with the tender process for the next set of rights set to begin later this year.
A serious bid from Apple is the biggest threat to Sky Sports' dominance of Premier League coverage since they were awarded exclusive rights in 1992.
Recently, Apple signed the broadcast rights agreement for the MLS league at the level of 2.5 billion dollars over 10 years, and now it is targeting an even bigger league - the English one.
