Barcelona crowned the Spanish Super Cup by defeating its rivals, Real Madrid, by three goals to one, in the final match that brought them together today in Riyadh.
Barcelona's Gavi, Robert Lewandowski and Pedri scored the hat-trick in the 33rd, 45th and 69th minutes respectively, while French striker Karim Benzema scored Real Madrid's only goal in the third minute of stoppage time.
This is the 14th time that Barcelona has won the Spanish Super Cup, thus reinforcing its record in terms of the number of times winning this cup.
On the other hand, Real Madrid failed to maintain its title and crown the cup for the 13th time in its history.
