Transfer coup for FC Moosburg: The keeper Patrik Heilmair, who has experience in the national league, returns to his homeland and strengthens the district class player.

Moosburg – The “Heile” returns to FC Moosburg after nine years: The district classist recently presented Patrik Heilmair as his new goalkeeper.

The 27-year-old last played for SE Freising in the Landesliga in the 2021/22 season.

Before that, he was between the posts for half a year at his league rival Schwaig.

In total, the keeper made eleven appearances in the national league for both clubs.

FC Moosburg: Heilmair once played for FCM – and coach Mario Sinicki

"From the club's side, we're happy that we're getting such a player back with more experience," said sporting director Michael Bauer.

"We are convinced that he will perform well and help us to attack further up." In addition, he is an actor who has his roots in Moosburg.

Thus, the home fans would know him and he could serve as a role model for youth players.

Heilmair grew up 50 meters away from the clubhouse and had played for JFG Moosburg and SE Freising in his youth.

Most of the time as a goalkeeper, then as a striker.

He stopped playing football for a year when he was a junior, but returned to the JFG U19 attack in the 2013/14 season.

The then and current coach of the FCM, Mario Sinicki, put the then 18-year-old in goal for two district league games at the end of the season.

After that, Heilmair was a regular keeper at TSV Moosburg-Neustadt in the district league for six and a half years (five of them as captain).

At the end of 2020 he was hired in Schwaig.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

FC Moosburg: Heilmair wanted to reduce the football effort

At the beginning of this year, the goalkeeper started a new job with his employer, which is why he wants to reduce the footballing effort a bit.

The goalkeeper himself feels fit again after overcoming health problems to tackle in the district class.

"We'll see where the journey goes.

I think we have potential in the squad.

I would like to contribute my part to the success and help the team,” says the newcomer, whose center of life is in Moosburg, both professionally and privately.

Those responsible emphasize that with Heilmair, the competition should be fueled further in an already heavily occupied position.

In the end, coach Mario Sinicki has to decide who will guard the district class players' goal.

Overall, the squad for the second half of the season is well staffed with 25 players.

It is not yet clear whether Marcus Baffour and Akwasi Adu-Frimpong will return to the team after moving, but that is not a priority.

Both players have not played this season so far and despite the injury problems there was always a competitive eleven on the field in the autumn round, which was also due to the good performance of some substitutes from the second team.

This path should be continued continuously, which is why the coach of the second, Dominik Dorsch,

will also hold this position in the coming season.
